I took Sunday and Monday off. I have met someone and she has been pre-occupying my thoughts so that's why I didn't do anything yesterday. She has been a huge positive for me. She is training for a half marathon this summer.
So since Tuesday of last week I have gone everyday for 60 minutes on the treadmill. I average between 3.15 and 3.30 miles not the greatest but a start. I lifted some today but nothing to really report but that will change and it will get better. I have a lot of aches and pains from being inactive and other injuries that I have gotten over the years. The shoulders are pretty bad so swimming is still a no.
My diet has gotten better but is something that I have got to keep on top of to start dropping some weight. was really bad on my off days but when you don't do any exercise the calories add up.
Well to all of you out there keep it up.
Hey Bill,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your back at it. I hope it all works out.
Dude, don't hate on 3 miles!! Think of it this way, how many people are out there sitting on thier butts while you are putting in that work on that treadmill? EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS!! It doesn't matter what type of exercise you're doing. The BIG THING is you ARE doing exercise instead of sitting around being stagnant. I'm going to check out that website you and Dad are talking about. My diet is what ALWAYS kills me and I get frustrated with meself because I can put in 30 miles a week and because I eat shitty I don't lose any weight or worse, gain weight. Let me, Dad, Mom, Rowdy, your new lady friend, or any other positive influence help you stay motivated. That's the purpose for these blogs, is for us to lean on each other and bounce ideas off of one another and keep us on track with our own personal goals. Love ya man and keep your head up.
ReplyDeleteI didn't look at the date and thought this was an old posts. Sorry. I know how you feel now when we post that we only did 3 miles. It is hard when you are used to running 30 miles a week to appreciate (ms) a 3 miles walk/run. I am finding out how hard it is to do 3 miles now a days. I know that we can both do this because we have the drive and the fortitude to get it done. You stay with it and the results will come. love ya dad
