3/18/2012

I have not been writing as often as I wanted. I think about it quite a bit. I have been getting about 3-4 work outs in a week. I at least get a 60 min walk on the treadmill for each workout. I have been working in weights on a couple of the workouts. Trying to watch what I eat and it continues to improve but still is a work in progress.
Other aspects of my life are more positive and on a good path. For almost the last two months I have been seeing a most amazing woman. She has been the most positive influence on my life and has changed my out look on life. You will all meet her one day soon and you will see how amazing she is.
Work as usual sucks and I work for the most incompetent people on the face of the earth. To be able to cope I have to think they are doing their best but just don't have a clue. I need to figure out whats next quick. There are some big things coming down the pipe I just know this. Everybody keep pushing forward with what you need and want to do, you will accomplish all you set forth in your mind.
Take care and be safe, Bill

2/21/2012

I took Sunday and Monday off. I have met someone and she has been pre-occupying my thoughts so that's why I didn't do anything yesterday. She has been a huge positive for me. She is training for a half marathon this summer.
So since Tuesday of last week I have gone everyday for 60 minutes on the treadmill. I average between 3.15 and 3.30 miles not the greatest but a start. I lifted some today but nothing to really report but that will change and it will get better. I have a lot of aches and pains from being inactive and other injuries that I have gotten over the years. The shoulders are pretty bad so swimming is still a no.
My diet has gotten better but is something that I have got to keep on top of to start dropping some weight. was really bad on my off days but when you don't do any exercise the calories add up.
Well to all of you out there keep it up.

Back again, 02/16/2012

I have had a good three days and I am taking it one day at a time. My first goal is just 60 min on the tread mill 5 out of 7 days. I have done it for 3 and my average distance is 3 miles, calories burned about 500. I have been keeping a food log in a notebook as well as using the site my fitness pal to track food and exercise. It is a pretty good site but I will need to stay on top of it, and since I am doing that I need to get back on here to support all you other people trying to live longer healthier lives. So my goal for here is going to be 4-5 times a week, keep you all up on me and me up on you. Keep up the hard work.

08-31-2011

Hey all I have been lifting a bit for about the last month. Need to pick up the cardio as well. I am at a school in Alabama for the rest of the week and have a pinched nerve in my right shoulder. Have not lifted but I am walking a bit. Really humid here and I hate that.

New year same me (what a drag!)

Well I have fallen in the same rut again, not working out, depressed and unmotivated. My doctor says there is sugar in my urine, not a good thing for a diabetic. What does it all mean? Well short answer get off my ass and do something about it or die. Easy enough to type and say now to put it in motion and stay on track, that is a whole other thing.
I finally got the school I have been trying to get for several years and I hope it will help me in my career. Missouri is very green but the heat and humidity kick my ass all the time. Work back at DCD sucks and seems to get worse all the time. Hard to not be depressed when the home life is not up to par and work sucks like no other. I am sure I will figure it out but it just seems hopeless sometime.
I did get to the rec center on base and walked the track it felt good. I will do it again in the morning and take it one day at a time.

25 FEB 2011

Been awhile I know, lots going on at work, with my Mom and just life in general. I had been having problems with my shoulder and elbow. Swimming was killing me and taking days to recoup from. I finally got into a Doc for the issues and he says it is most likely scare tissue build up in both cases. Gave me a shot in my elbow and I will be going to therapy for my shoulder. I have kept working out mainly walking, some running, bike and minor swimming in the pool or just walking around in the water no impact stuff. So the May Tri might be out for me, I am going to swim this weekend and see how it feels. My elbow feels a bit better but something just does not seem right. So to everyone else keep it up and stay strong.

30JAN2011

Well I have been doing something everyday maybe not as much as I wanted but something. I got 45 min of cardio the last two days and tried to do the swimming. Swimming will definitely take 3 days a week to get in check. I don't have the breathing down as I swim so I hold my breath and it wears me down quick. I only did about 150 meters and it killed me and took way to long. Definite need to work on it. Diet has been better but I do have times when I do over eat and my body lets me know that with jacked up blood sugar and basically feeling like shit. SOOO, what that means is keep everything in check and I will feel fine. Love you all and appreciate the support. Keep on pushing yourselves and stay on track.
